Peace Everyone! It's your girl, and I'm chillin at the computer, drinking coffee. I just finished chatting up a nice looking brotha, so my morning is good so far. Oh, don't worry, I was just being friendly...not even flirting with the dude...

~BUT~

Eyecandy is always delicious, especially first thing in the AM. Kiss

So, what's new with me? I know I have a tendency to pop up then disappear. I guess that's the artist in me, for I can be a bit of a recluse. But truthfully, I've been grindin, working on my current projects. I have three going on simultaneously, so you can imagine why I'm getting little sleep at the moment.

First, the album. Right now it tentatively titled, "Master Number." This album is a reflection of my ups and downs during my roller coaster-of-a-career. It's a true blessing to be halfway finished, because it's not always easy for a singer to work in the land of oversaturated hip hop and dry ass, boring R&B. This sound is fresh and different. I'm very proud of the hot production and its direction, and I guarantee that you've never heard anything like it.  I'm looking to have it ready for you by mid-August, so stay tuned...

Second, one of my dreams is to not only sing for a living, but to write hit songs as well.  People are always surprised to learn that I write all of my own material. I'm even learning how to compose works, for I've been trained to read music.  Writing songs for other people is fun for me. It allows me to do pop, jazz, and music that isn't particularly in my genre, while still being able to express myself.  I love it!  Who would I love to write for?  Chrisette Michelle, Rhianna, new comers in the game, and even men.  Right now, I'm working on songs for a new boy band that's out - we'll see where that goes.

Third, I'll be back on the radio this summer doing my segment on Joe Idokogi's radio show called Artist Spotlight. It airs every Friday from 9-10 on WURD, 900 AM.  We are currently reworking some formats, and I guarantee you the content will be fresh, informative, and entertaining.  So, stay tuned for this as well.

That's it for now, my lovelies. Look for some new music soon, and in the meantime, stay blessed.

Kisses,

Sabrina

Help Support the Cause in Honor of My Friend Drew PDF Print E-mail

Last year, my daughter, Jalyn and I participated in the 2008 Walk MS to support a dear friend of mine, Andrew Morris. Drew has Muscular Sclerosis (MS), a disease that affects the central nervous system. Right now, there is no cure, and Drew, along with many volunteers and the National MS Society, work hard to fight this disease.

So this year, I'm walking again for my friend, and I'm asking for your support. Are you willing to donate $25 to the cause? Even if you can only do $5, $10, or $20, every little bit helps. My goal is to raise $250 in total, and I believe that with your help, I can reach my goal...hopefully more.

Your donation can be made public or anonymous, and it's done on a secured website. Please go to my page and click on the link below to donate:

If you don't want to donate online, send me an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we can work something out.

Thank you for reading, and thanks in advance for your donation!

Kisses!

Tonight Check Out St. Alborne and Grind City @ Doc Watsons Pub.

One of the best kept secrets in Philadelphia is that there is a resurgence of black rockers on the scene. Two bands of those bands will be rocking it out tonight, St. Patty’s Day at Doc Watsons. While each has its own unique sound, both rock hard and will definitely have you out of your seats!

St. Alborne, the night’s opener, features front man, Damon Small, whose Bajan roots serves as part of the band’s influence. But don’t get it twisted! St. Alborne is metal funk that goes harder than the best of ‘em, and Damon’s soulful voice over heavy bass, guitar, and drums will certainly have you amplified. Some of you may be caught off guard with the screams and gut wrenching sounds, but it’s Damon’s subtle way of reminding us of our roots in rock music.

Capping off the night will be Grindcity, a Philadelphia main-stay. With JO leading the band along with sexy guitarist, Gab Guma, Grindcity combines hip hop with rock, soul, and funk. The high energy and talent of this group has propelled them from Philadelphia to performing in shows all around the region. You’ll definitely be in for a treat, and one thing is for sure, with Grindcity, there is something for everybody.

Now you know everyone’s Irish on St. Patty’s Day, right? So make sure to come out, grab ye a Guiness, and rock ye out at Doc Watson’s Pub, 216 S 11th St. I hope to see you there!
